Ordering Goods

When an order is placed on our website, you will receive a confirmation email confirming we have received your order and it is being processed.  You will receive a second email from us acknowledging your order has been dispatched with a tracking number where applicable.

All products are subject to availability.  Our display of products on our website is an invitation and not an offer to sell those goods to you. An offer is made when you place the order for your products.

If products that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process any remaining products on your order. We will not supply a replacement product without your authorisation.  If you would like to cancel your order please see returns section of our policy.

Please be aware that if you are ordering for delivery to the UK, that as from January 1st 2021 when the Brexit Transition period ends you may see some changes when you shop from SweetNews.

These changes could include:

VAT, if applicable, being due in the country of delivery, or your package may be subject to customs duties, taxes and fees. These costs will be payable by the person receiving the goods.

Any returns from the UK may incur costs including transport costs, as well as any associated import fees or customs where applicable. These costs will be payable by the person returning the goods.

Only when we are aware of all costs associated with the returned goods, can we then refund your payment.

 IRELAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND

We charge €5.95 postage.

All orders received before 2pm Monday to Thursday with a delivery address in Ireland and should be received by the customer within 48 hours.  Orders placed on a Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on a Monday.

If the unlikely event happens of an order going missing, we will start a case file with DPD and keep you informed of the status of their enquiry.

  We charge €12.50 postage. All orders received before 2pm Monday to Thursday with a delivery address in mainland Scotland and UK should be received by the customer within 5-6 working days.  

Orders placed on a Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on a Monday morning.

We mainly use DPD . The choice of carrier depends on the type of item being dispatched.

If the unlikely event happens of an order going missing, we will start a case file with DPD and keep you informed of the status of their enquiry.

Extreme weather conditions, deliver delays and customs security delays or retained at customs are outside of our control.
